Moorgate Exchange, London won Structural Steel Design Awards 2015!

Professor Yong Wang and Dr. Ashkan Shahbazian provided a consultancy to the concrete filled tubular construction on the Moorgate Exchange project in London (TATA Steel Europe). Concrete filled tubular columns in this project were utilised to provide 90 minutes’ fire protection. To do so, 3D Heat transfer analysis were performed for determining temperature distribution on connection and bolts for CHS columns connected to steel I beam with different type of connections.
